The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Orrville Community Theater presents The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. A traveling, two-person play based off of the much loved C.S. Lewis book. After finding a magical portal through the wardrobe into Narnia, the four Pevensie children band together with the great Aslan to take down the White Witch and free Narnia from her grasp.

The theater is planning on performing the show several times throughout the summer and fall. As of right now, we have 3 scheduled shows and several more in the works!

Our scheduled show dates:

  • July 9th: Manchester Christian Church at 7 o’clock.
    • Their address is 930 W. Nimisila Road, Akron OH 44319
  • August 8th: Orrville Baptist Church at 7 o’clock
    • Their address is 204 Bell Avenue, Orrville OH 44667
  • August 28th: St. John’s Church of Christ at 8 o’clock
    • Their address is 101 Tremont Ave SE, Massillon OH 44646

These shows will be free, but a donation to the theater will be greatly appreciated. Keep checking back to this page for more upcoming shows!

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Auditions!

Orrville Community Theater announces Auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved plays.
The play is set in Athens, and consists of several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta. There’s love, mischief, fairies and hilarity!
Auditions will be Friday July 9, 2021 from 6-9pm and Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1-3pm. Callbacks will be Sunday July 11 for 2-4pm.
All auditions will be held at

Orrville Parade!

 

Hey, theater lovers! We are so excited to tell you that we’re going to be in the Orrville Independence Day Parade! We’ll be handing out fliers with information about our summer, fall and winter season (are you as excited to get back to the stage as we are?!) We’ll also be handing out candy. If you would like to be in the parade, walk along the route and hand out fliers and candy, let us know through our facebook page, the Orrville Community Theater group, or through the website! Come help us celebrate summer, our country’s independence and the return of LIVE THEATER!

Open Mic Event

 

Hey hey hey!!!
Guess what!!??
We are ready to hit the ground running and our board is busy making plans ~ contacting directors, discussing plays, finding venues, and all that technical jazz!!
In the mean time, we are hosting an afternoon of Open Mic! Come and show off your talent! We will be at Rehm Gazebo at Orr Park on June 19, sign ups begin at 12:30pm and continue until we are filled up so come early if you can to get your spot in line! Stage performances will start at 1pm and continuing until 4pm.
Not a performer? Bring a lawn chair and come out to enjoy some entertainment! Also, take a few minutes between acts or after the show to see some of our plans for the rest of the year!
No tickets needed but donations will be accepted for our 2021-2022 season! We will also be looking for show sponsors and advertisers for our 2021-2022 season as well!
We are excited to see you at the park!
