Meet the Orrville Community Theater Board of Directors for the 2024 season!

President: Chelsea Alleman

 

Vice President: Annie DiScipio Ketler

Rachel “Annie” DiScipio Ketler is a born-and-raised Ohioan who loves art, education, and theater. She has a passion for teaching and creativity, and loves working with children. She is the founder and CEO of Queen Anne’s Lace Publishing, and loves supporting her community. Annie currently lives in Orrville, and is so excited to see the theater, the community, and all their participants grow and thrive.

Secretary: Angela Gilbert

Angela joined the Orrville Community Theater board in early 2023. She is currently serving as the board secretary. Angela realized her love for theater when her young children became interested in performing in shows many years ago. In her free time, Angela enjoys watching her children perform in the school band, going to church, camping, thrift shopping, and event planning. Angela currently handles theater social media and has recently learned of her love for directing kids shows.

Treasurer: Kara Seiler

Kara realized she loved theater at a very young age and enjoyed acting in school plays and some community theater. The love came back when her own children both decided to love theater too! Once they became involved with Orrville Community Theater, it was a pretty easy fit for her to help out with shows and then join the Board. This is her second year with the Board and first as Treasurer.

In her free time, she enjoys camping, being outside, and spending time with her husband, two kids and their loving cavalier, Gracie. She loves helping with the kids shows and being involved with the theater.

Board Member: Holly CowgarHolly is a homeschooling mom of four girls, part-time retail worker, Girl Scout Leader, wannabe author, and a lover of travel, forensics, astronomy, geology, paleontology, and archaeology. In her nonexistent free time, she is in the ongoing process of renovating her farmhouse, helping her husband Lucas study for his private pilot’s license, and writing a book. She has co-directed two shows for the Orrville Community Theater and handles website updates, lights and sounds inventory, and newsletters. She has served on the board since January, 2022.

Board Member: Tara Martens

Tara has been involved with community theater since 2019. She has done shows with the Kidron Historical Society, Orrville Community Theater, Wayne County Performing Arts Council, and Medina County Show Biz. She loves all aspects of theater: directing shows, writing plays, stage managing, and owning the stage as a star, of course. Theater has brought her some of her most treasured memories, her closest friends, and even her husband, Jonathan. She is on the board to promote theater within the community and provide a safe and fun space for kids of all ages, adults included, to find themselves.
